Today was halloween and Alex, Mum and Meme took to the streets for some fun. First stop was at the Deane's house and Alex was a little unsure what to do. It didn't take long to figure it out and then Alex started colecting things for her pumkin bucket.

On the drive home Alex ate some of the chocolate and also looked in at what she had and then guarded it well.

When Meme comes to visit there is always an angel food cake made and Alex likes to be involved and help out with any cleaning!

Later in the afternoon Alex had a toasted cheese sandwich and made sure george got a taste.

There was plenty of playing in the basement today for Alex, mainly running and hiding. It made for an early night into bed as Alex was asleep before 8pm.

Alex had a fun day today playing with Meme and Mum in the afternoon. There was also a trip to the shops and some lunch at Panera Bread. After lunch Alex had some chocolate powerbar which always taste's good.

There haven't been many photo's lately to post. Yesterday Alex watched the potty DVD again for most of the day and had a good seat to watch it from.

After sitting in traffic for over an hour for the ride to pick Meme up from the airport Alex had a good 3hr nap. There was a trip to Walmart later in the afternoon and Alex picked out a pumpkin bowl for her first trick or treating on halloween Sunday night. To try it out Mum put some gold fisk biscuits in and Alex tried throwing them in the air and catching them with her mouth.(not sure where she learned that trick!)



Alex then threw a couple to Dad to see if he could get some in his mouth.

With the cooler weather the leaves have been falling off the trees and the deck needed a good sweep. It was quite warm out compared to the last few days and Alex enjoyed being outside for a change doing something constructive!

Alex stayed home all day today and spent a good deal of time watching the Potty training DVD that Carolyn bought a while ago. There was plenty of clapping, watching and then walking funny taking place.

This is another of Alex's many dance routines. She hasn't done it in a while but is still good at it.

Alex had a busy day today waking up early and playing with Mum whilst Dad ran. The animals were again the play choice for the morning.

Alex likes to find a corner and sit with George for a while, give a few kisses and then move to another corner.

Alex took a trip to the shops with Dad and Jonathan so Mum could watch the Redskins game. Alex had fun walking around the shops and then eating a big cookie that Jonathan bought. Back at home Alex loaded her jeep with animal friends and drove back and forth in the basement.

For an afternoon snack Alex ate some peanut butter on bread and then carried the plate around like a waitress.

The carbon monoxide detector went off this morning just after 2.00am because the battery must have ran out. There was a loud alarm and it woke everyone up and Mum took off with Alex downstairs thinking it was the fire alarm. Dad stopped them running outside just in time and shut off the noise. With all the excitment Alex was wide awake and didn't go back to sleep for a couple of hours and then once she did it was a good sleep in instead of swimming for Mum and Alex. Then in the afternoon Alex took a good 2hr nap to catch up on a little more sleep. Alex has a nice crib and she used it today by crawling underneath it with all her animal friends.

Alex did a lot of running in the afternoon and somehow got Mum to participate for most of it.

The game was to see how many times Alex could catch Mum and run past and then try and catch her again!



Even after a bath Alex wanted to run.



Sometimes Alex would stop for a short break, make a few noises and then continue on.

There was only one photo from today and that was of Mum pulling Alex around on a blanket with her toy friends for a good half an hour. Besides that Alex pretty much stayed indoors all day messing around with Dad.

Alex went to both swims today and took a good 3hr nap during the afternoon. It didn't leave a lot of time to do anything special. Just a little running around and because it was cold Alex slipped on her slippers.

Late in the afternoon there was a delivery from PowerBar and Alex emptied all the boxes and moved everything out of them. It was a good game for a while.

Alex was asleep early again for the evening and just before bed Alex sat with the toy animals for a while.

Alex and Mum slept in this morning and then Alex went out for the 11.00am swim and ran around with Mum at the pool. Alex didn't sleep at all today and was ready for bed early in the evening. After a bath it was into some new PJ's and then Alex just refused to go to sleep.

Amongst other things Alex is getting good at pulling herself up on things. After a few runs around the house Alex goes to the counter to stretch out.

Also the counter is a good place to hang from!

Alex had a busy day today and it started off playing with Mum for the morning in the basement and upstairs getting pushed around in a box.

For the afternoon it was over to the Pizzelli's for Mia's first birthday. There was plenty of people there, plenty of kids and Alex found a few dogs too!

During the party Mum took Alex out to the car for a change up and Alex loves to be in the drivers seat using the steering wheel.



Birthday girl Mia was dressed well and Alex and Kara joined her for a photo.

Back at home Mum brought some Pizza back from the party, instead of having a small piece that Mum cut off, Alex went for the entire slice but she didn't really eat any of it!

Alex spent the morning with Mum visiting a couple of babies and a friend of Mums. There were no photo's but Alex had a good time. Later in the afternoon Alex swam in the warm water pool for a good hour and once again there were no photo's. Alex has been kicking really well with a board so hopefully a photo next time. All the photo's from today were of Alex playing with her toy animals. She likes to place them down and sit on their laps and then give them a kiss.

Alex went to bed with a few sniffles last night and ended up sleeping in with Mum this morning as it was cold and rainy outside. Alex stayed indoors all day except for a trip to the shops late in the afternoon. Mum bought some more winter PJ's for Alex and also another toy animal. Alex had a nice warm bath before bed and played for quite a while with some small shampoo bottles that she filled up then emptied out.

After a bath Alex wasn't ready for bed so it was play with the new toy, a green wood pecker.

Alex always has a good time and putting the beak in her mouth seemed like a fun thing to do.

Alex spent some time walking around with a bag/case strapped over her shoulder. It kept her busy for a while just walking around and around.

Skippy also is fun to carry around and Alex somehow manages to give him a big hug and walk around at the same time. Hopefully there will be some more pictures and action for the next blog.

Once again not many photo's from today. It was another day spent mostly indoors with the usual stuff going on. Late in the afternoon Alex got some writing practice with Mum and had a few peanut butter on biscuits for a snack.

Not sure if it is Alex or Mum that likes the skelaton suit the most. Mum had it washed and dried for the 2nd night in a row ready for Alex to run around in and then sleep in.

There was plenty of playing in the basement just before bed and the lights were going off and on to see Alex's bones glow in the dark!

Alex had a good sleep in this morning and pretty much stayed indoors for most of the day except for a trip to the foodstore and BJ's in the afternoon. There were no photo's but this short video below was from last night when Alex ran around for about 30mins before going to bed.

Mum bought Alex some new clothes last night and early this morning Alex took a good look at them. (there was also a green Grinch that was new as well!)

It looks like Alex spread everything out on the stairs to take a closer look at them.

It turned out to be a fun day for Alex with an early morning swim. Some running around outside. A good 3hr nap during the Redskin game and then some playing in the basement. The batteries ran out in one of the toys and Alex tried to open the back with a screw driver.



After a bath at about 7.00pm Alex was quite tired and Mum pulled out the new PJ's for Alex to try on and wear to bed. After about an hour of nearly going to sleep Alex came back down stairs and started running around for about 30mins.

Alex didn't really do much today just the routine playing and running around. Mum found some coins for her to put in the piggy bank which is almost full.

Alex hung out in her comfortable shirt all day today and stood up reading something. It ended up being an early night for Alex as she fell asleep about 6.30pm.

Alex was up early for the 5.30am swim and then a short nap before going back to the pool for the 11.00am swim. Dad went to Dunkin Donuts after the swim and Alex had a freash bagel to eat in the chair with George and Skippy.

After a good afternoon nap Alex went to the field to kick the ball around and for a good run around too!



It was sunny out and Alex took a short break from running around for a few minutes.

Alex loves running and Likes to pump her fist usually to make Dad run faster when he carries her but she tried it with Mum who only managed a fast walk!



Back at home and later in the afternoon there was a suprise package from Saucony and Alex enjoyed going through all the boxes to see what was inside.

Alex liked a green pair of shoes that were for Mum and did her best to try them on.
