Alex grabbed a letter from the mailbox with her name on it. A thank you card from Carolyn for the Christmas gift. That was Alex's first official letter.

In the afternoon the snow came down and a few cars were having trouble on the slippery roads. Dad and Alex set up by the window to watch the fun of cars slipping and crashing into each other.

Alex went to both swims today, slept a little and played a little. Just a regular day. We only got one photo and that was after Alex's bath in her Redskin towel.

Alex had a good sleep in today and didn't go outside because of the really cold day. Not even to get the mail. When Mum came home from work Alex had some pasta for an early dinner.

Alex once again played on the floor, crawling and moving around as she pleased.

As well as playing with the football Alex played with a small white round ball which was easier to chase around after.

Monday was swim day and Alex was up for the 5.30am start. It's been a few weeks since the last one but Alex didn't mind going. After the early swim it was a good nap for a few hours and then back for the 11.00am swim. Alex was dressed in a warm jacket and enjoyed the car ride there.

Alex has been waving to people a lot lately and the swimmers where waving from the end of the pool to get her going.

Later in the afternoon Mum had Alex playing on the floor with the football.

They where still playing after a good hour.



Then it was time to practice climbing the stairs. Alex doesn't seem to mind all the excercise, not sure where she gets that from?

Just before dinner Alex pulled out a few books to balance things out with some reading.

Today Alex got to meet Emma who is the daughter of one of Mums old work friends who now lives in San Francisco. Emma is 5 months older than Alex but they played well together.

Later in the afternoon Alex was looking at a few tee shirts that Saucony sent for our 100x100 event next week. Alex couldn't find one her size though!



It was still a lot of fun counting and playing with the new shirts.

Then a little later in the afternoon there was a phone call from Speedy Pete who bought Alex a Christmas present. A bike that hooks up to the TV. Alex tried it out but couldn't quite reach the pedals so she will have too wait a little while to put it to good use.

There was plenty of presents around the tree Christmas morning and Alex found one with her name on it.

This was the first present Alex opened and then had a fun time ripping open many more.

Mum was there to help with the present opening and Alex looked good dressed in her Christmas outfit.

After a good 8hrs drive home and a good sleep in the car Alex was ready to open more presents that Mum put under the tree before the trip to PA.

Alex had plenty of new toys to play with and spent a few hours on the floor playing.

Later in the afternoon Alex crawled over to the stairs to try and make her way up. Mum helped out and she got to the top.

After swim Dad brought home a present that Carolyn had gotten for Alex.

After ripping off the paper Alex found some nice new Pj's inside and a learning DVD. Alex bought Carolyn something but hasn't had the chance yet to give it to her.

After Alex woke up she spent some time with Poppie whilst Mum ran and Dad swam.



Before going out for some last minute Christmas shopping Alex and Mum posed for a photo in front of the Christmas tree.



Mum ate some Thai noodles for lunch and Alex waited patiently to try some.



After lunch is was back in the car to head to some more shops. It was a little cold out so Mum gave Alex her hat to wear.

After another good sleep in Alex was ready for some breakfast and then some fun times listening to You tube videos.

Later in the afternoon Alex got ready for a road trip of about 9hrs to go to PA for Christmas. She took along plenty of toys, her favorite, being Petuna the Pig as you can see her chewing on her. Dad reclined her car seat for more comfort in the long trip.

Alex gives a good smile after arriving to Meme and Poppie's house. We were all quite happy to be out of the car!

Meme dusted off mum's high chair for Alex to use. My how high chairs have changed over the years. Alex did not seem to mind the chair not being as plush as hers as she watched Meme make cookies.

Alex got to hang out with Poppie and practice standing. She was sporting a new outfit, but the pants being a little too big fell off.....she was quite happy being bare legged and feeling the carpet on her feet and knees.

There wasn't a chance to post a blog yesterday so here are a couple of photo's from yesterday after Alex had a really good sleep instead of going to any swims. She was having some fun playing on the floor.

It has been a few days since she wanted to bounce but now she is feeling better she enjoyed the movement again.

Alex has had a few tough nights without sleeping as she continues to feel the effects of the teeth coming in. She has been ok during the day and even started to push down on her arms more as she will soon start to try and stand up.

Last night was the master's christmas party and Christen (pictured with Alex) gave Alex a nice christmas book as a present.

Alex looked through the christmas book for quite a while as she sat with Christen. Once everyone went home Alex stayed awake until after 3.00am because of her teeth, but she did manage to sleep in until 10.00am and then Mum gave her something to take for the tooth problems and she pretty well slept for all of Sunday.

Alex had another sleep in today but after that she was feeling better from the last couple of days of tooth problems. Once she played with the TV remote she looked like her playfull self again. (although a little sleepy looking.)

Alex's appetite also returnd today and it was yogurt, banana and cereal which she chowed down.

Just before bed Mum pulled out the tooth brush for the first time to give the new teeth a scrub

Today was another day where Alex didn't do anything beside sleep, eat a little and just want to be carried all day. Hopefully the teeth coming through won't cause too much more upset.

Alex spent all but a couple of hours today sleeping. She woke up to eat or be changed and then it was back to sleep. It must be the teeth that are causing Alex some problems.

Mum tried her best to perk Alex up but after some milk Alex just closed her eyes and went back to sleep.

Alex had a good sleep in today well after 10.00am. Once she was awake and had breakfast it was down to the mail box to grab the mail. Alex was happy to hold on to one letter again to carry back.

When Mum came home from work there was time for a quick pre-dinner snack.

Lasagna was on the menu for dinner and Alex got to try it for the first time. After dinner it was upstairs for a quick bath.

Alex's cheeks have been a little red lately due to some teeth coming through. Even the bath couldn't wash off the redness.

Alex went to both swims today and on the way home in the car her cheeks were nice and red because it was so warm at the pool.

Later in the afternoon Alex played on one of her new toys and took a little tumble but had a soft landing into some waiting arms.

There was pasta for dinner and for desert it was chocolate pudding and Alex acted like she was enjoying it.

A couple of extra spoonfulls and Alex had enough and was ready for a bath and then bed.
