Alex went to both swims today and besides that slept for most of the day. When she was awake it was reading and then jumping in the bouncer.

She enjoys being on her stomach so much these days so we made a play area for her on the floor where she can roll around and also play with toys/books.

It was pumkin (squash as Mum calls it) for dinner again. Whilst it was cooking up Alex looked through a book.

She has been eating well and polished off the plate of pumkin no worries.

After dinner she sat in the swing that is nearly too small for her now.

Another day went by with nothing out of the ordinary. When Mum came home from work Alex got in her chair ready for some vegies.

She looks forward to them each night and cleans the plate and licks the spoon to finish up.

After dinner Mum was playing with her and Alex really likes the TV control and goes for it when she gets a chance.

She doesn't mind a grab at Mums hair too as Mum looks at a take out menu for dinner.

And yes, Mum doesn't mind having her hair pulled by Alex.

Then after Mum ordered dinner with the phone Alex wanted to play with it.

Alex went to both swims today and when she came home after the 11.00am swim she slept for a good 3hrs. Mum came home early from work just when Alex woke up and they watched some funny video's on You Tube.

They spent a good 30 minutes in front of the computer watching You Tube and sending emails.

Later in the afternoon Dad cooked up some Granny Smith apples for Alex to try. As they were cooling Mum was teaching Alex how to signal "Touch Down" for the next weeks Redskin game!

Alex liked the apples and had two servings. Mum turned her head for a few seconds and Alex knocked over the cup of apples so she could get them on the spoon herself!

Sunday, September 27, 2009

It was a rainy Sunday all day and Alex stayed home and slept and played and ate. Mum dressed her in Redskin clothes hoping it would help her team win. (I guess Mum will try something else next week!)

Mum had some work to do on the computer before bed and Alex likes to swing and be by her side whilst she types. Tomorrow is the 5.30am swim so Alex was ready for bed early too.

Alex and Mum spent plenty of time today upstairs on the bed. They read books, worked on Alex sitting up and just plain old hung out together on a Saturday morning.

Later in the afternoon it was 4pm swim and Alex played with Carolyn (and her hair) at the end of practice.

Carolyn was having so much fun that she hung out with Alex for quite a while whilst Mum finished up her swim.

Once Alex got back home she got to eat some carrots before a quick bath and then into bed for an early night.

Friday, September 25, 2009

Alex slept in and only went to the 11.00am swim today. She likes playing with hair and Mum has plenty of it to play with.

They also like playing together on the bed when Mum comes home from work.

Whilst Alex was waiting for Mum to cook dinner dad got her set up in the chair.

Mum said dinner was ready and Alex was excited to eat. Squash was on the menu! This was Alex's expression before she ate!! We didn't get a photo after!

Alex woke up at 8am today ready to say goodbye as Mum went off to work. She played around a bit whilst Dad made a coffee and checked a few emails.

After not too long and some twists and turns in the downstairs tempory baby storage she was ready to come out.

Dad got her some breakfast ready and it was the usual Youghurt and Banana.

Alex enjoyed it without making too much mess and she had a good chew on the spoon every now and then to break things up.

As usual after breakfast she is full of energy and she was ready to play. She is always looking for something new to do so this morning we pushed the bench over to the couch and let her roll around a bit.

She pretty much rolled and spun around and was at every angle as she played.

As Dad put a toy down she would knock it to the floor and wait for another. Then Dad put some books on the couch and Alex grabbed at them.

The next 45mins was spent reading through some books. There were a bundle of new ones in the garage that Mum brought home from work and Alex hadn't seen them yet.

Mum had a long day at work so Alex passed some time jumping in the bouncer waiting for her to come home.

Wednesday, September 23, 2009

Alex went to the 5.30am swim and the 11.00am swim and only had a short nap in between and was getting hungry after the big morning. She ate half a banana followed by some yoghurt. Even licked off the spoon to finish up.

When Mum came home from work they played a little and then went up stairs.

It was all quiet up there so Dad came up to see what was happenning. Mum was asleep and Alex was playing with the football.

A little later on it was time for dinner and seeing we have so many gift cards to restaurants we ordered take out. Alex got to look through the menu too! She ended up having boring old carrots again though.

Another thing Alex likes doing these days is bouncing of Dad's lap like she's on a trampoline. She can go as long as Dad's arms hold out!

Tuesday, September 22, 2009

Alex had another good sleep last night and even slept in until about 8.30am. Here she is just waking up.

It didn't take long for her to crack her first smile of the day.

And then she was ready to get up and start playing.

She only went outside once today to get the mail and whilst indoors she read, played on the floor, bounced and then when Mum came home from work she ate some carrots and then hung out with Mum.

Later on before bed she watched a few video's on the internet. This one was Bebe Lilly French version.

Monday, September 21, 2009

Alex didn't go to the early swim but after a sleep in she went to the 11.00am swim. When she came home it was time for some breakfast of porridge and yoghurt.

She washed it down with some milk and then went for a ride in her chair around the house.

When Mum came home from work they played on the couch.

Alex has been making some good noises as she learns to use her voice. Also she has been pulling some funny faces and looks like Mum has been teaching her.

A little later on she played on the floor and got to roll around and also move around on her stomach.

She can roll at will now and has fun doing it.

Her teeth are going to come through one of these days soon and she enjoys chewing on anything and everything. Here she has a little lobster in her mouth.

After the chewing and rolling she had enough and was ready to be picked up to do something different.
